BRAMPTON - The third Youth Making a Difference Workshop, held April 29 at Brampton Soccer Centre, celebrated the Spirit of Social Justice and inspired students to choose their cause and make a difference. ACCESS hosted their annual workshop in partnership with the Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board, also supported by the Brampton Mayor's Youth Team. A video summarizing this year's successful event has been created by Nathalie Atanda. It features the song "Dare to Believe" by Fairchild (Blue Veil Ministry) who performed live at the event. "The goal is to get students thinking about what they can do to help others, connect them with organizations already making a difference in the community and also give youth the tools to launch their own community projects," explained ACCESS president Daniel Francavilla. "It’s about inspiring teenagers and empowering them to make positive contributions both at a community level and on a broader scale," he stated in a local news article.

ACCESS would like to thank the 200 students from across the Peel region and the 20 local organizations in attendance.
